Yksi etappi monen vuoden mittaisesta rupeamasta on saavutettu. Singing Heritage Route Association ry jätti hakemuksensa Euroopan neuvoston kulttuurireittistatukseen heinäkuussa 2022. Tästä alkaa uusi rupeama, kun Neuvoston opastuksella reitin kokonaisuus arvioidaan ja sitä mahdollisuuksien mukaan kehitetään. Lopullinen ratkaisu saadaan vuoden 2023 loppukeväästä.
Reittimme nimi voidaan suomentaa Lauluperinteiden reitiksi. Sen pääteemana ovat kaikkien neljän maan alueilla esiintyvät, kulttuurisesti merkittävät lauluperinteet. Suomessa ja virossa runolaulu (mukaan lukien setujen leelo), latvialaiset moniääniset lauluperinteet, sutartinés Liettuassa sekä kaikkia Baltian maita yhdistävä Laulujuhlien perinne. Lauluperinteiden lisäksi reitillä on paljon täydentäviä teemoja, kuten sauna, ruokaperinne, sotahistoria, luontokohteet jne. Reittikuvauksessa on mukana museoita, festivaaleja, tapahtumia, patikointiretkiä ja -reittejä, luontokohteita ja tietenkin myös majoitus- ravitsemus- ja muita palveluita tarjoavia yrityksiä.
Singing Heritage Route Association ry:n muodostavat neljän maan, Suomen, Viron, Latvian ja Liettuan yhteensä 13 kulttuuri- ja matkailuorganisaatiota. Yhdistyksen, ja Euroopan neuvoston reittitoiminnankin tarkoituksena on kehittää sekä matkailua että kulttuuritoimintaa omalla toiminta-alueellaan. Konkreettisesti tämä voi merkitä tapahtumien järjestämistä, ohjelma- ja esiintyjävaihtoa, nuorille suunnattuja aktiviteetteja ja samalla kestävään matkailuun liittyvää markkinointia. Luonnollisesti olemassa olevat tapahtumat, kulttuurikohteet ja yritykset otetaan mukaan markkinointisisältöihin.

Työpajakiertue Baltian maissa 1.-3.10.
Singing Heritage Route ry järjestää maakohtaiset työpajat Virossa, Latviassa ja Liettuassa 1.-3.10. Työpajoissa yhdistyksen jäsenorganisaatiot sekä yhteistyökumppanit käyvät läpi kulttuurireittimme ohjelmaa ja suunnitelmia. Kiertueen päätteeksi reittimme edustajat matkustavat Kreetalle Euroopan neuvoston kulttuurireittitoiminnan päätapahtumaan, Annual Advisor Foorumiin.

Annual Advisory Forum Kreetalla 5.-7.10.
Reittimme edustajat osallistuvat Europan neuvoston vuosittaiseen päätapahtumaan, Advisory Foorumiin Kreetan pääkaupungissa Haniassa 5.-7.10.2022. Foorumissa, joka järjestetään vuosittain eri paikoissa, käsitellään reittitoiminnan kysymyksiä, kuullaan vanhoja ja kokeneita reittitoimijoita sekä päästään esittelemään uusia tulokkaita.

One important step has been taken!
In July 2022 the Singing Heritage Route Association has delivered the application to become an officially certified European Cultural Route. This means a new beginning, as the Route will be evaluated and its potentials are developed in guidance of the European Institute of Cultural Routes. The final decision will be given in late spring 2023.
The main theme of the SH-Route is the culturally significant singing traditions of all four countries, Estonia, Finland, Latvia and Lithuania. In Finland and Estonia runosong tradition (including leelo of Seto culture), in Latvia the polyphonic singing traditions and in Lithuania sutartinės are traditions within the main theme. Also, the Song and Dance celebrations in all Baltic countries belong to the main theme.
In addition to singing traditions, the route has many supplementary themes, such as sauna, food tradition, military history, natural sites, etc. The route offers museums, festivals, events, hiking trips and routes, nature sites and also accommodation, catering and other services.
The Singing Heritage Route Association is made up of a total of 13 cultural and tourism organizations from four countries, Finland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. The purpose of the route activities of the association and the Council of Europe is to develop both tourism and cultural activities. Concretely and besides marketing and developing the actual route, this can mean organizing events, exchanging programs and performers, activities aimed at young people, and at the same time increasing the visibility of sustainable tourism. Naturally existing events, cultural sites and companies are included in the marketing content.
Workshop tour in the Baltic countries October 1-3.
The Singing Heritage Route association organizes workshops in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania on October 1-3. In the workshops, the association’s member organizations and partners review the program and plans of our cultural route. At the end of the tour, the representatives of our route will travel to Crete for the main event of the Council of Europe’s cultural route activities, the Annual Advisor Forum.

Annual Advisory Forum in Crete October 5-7.
The representatives of our route will participate in the Council of Europe’s annual main event, the Advisory Forum, in the capital of Crete, Chania, in October 5-7, 2022. In the forum, which is organized annually in different places, issues of route operation are discussed, old and experienced route operators are heard, and newcomers can be introduced.
